As a certified sex therapist and a marriage and family therapist, Charmaine Ensinger is uniquely suited to understand complex relationships in all areas of life. Charmaine enjoys working with people of every ethnic, gender, and sexual background and finds a special connection with people who feel misunderstood, marginalized, or like an “outsider.”

As a certified yoga instructor, Charmaine often incorporates mind-body wellness into her therapeutic work to support clients experiencing various issues. As an ADHD-certified clinical services provider, she is poised to address the complexities of ADHD symptoms and management.

Charmaine is a certified sex therapist through AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and a NeuroDiversity Sexuality Therapist through IBOSP (International Board of Sexuality Professionals). She is also an AAMFT-approved supervisor and is available to supervise MFTs and Sex Therapists in training.

While starting therapy can be challenging, Charmaine’s practice aims to provide clients with a safe and supportive space to improve their relationships with themselves and others. Her eclectic and integrative style of therapy is low-pressure and includes a blend of personal and systemic work. An integrative assessment tailored to each client's unique needs and goals guides her collaborative approach.

Charmaine utilizes a blend of different therapy modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Beck Institute Certification • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) • Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) • Narrative Therapy • Mindfulness

She is an ally of BLM, LGBTQ+, Poly/Kink/Non-Monogamous, Sex Worker, and Alternative Lifestyle communities. Charmaine is currently enrolled in the Clinical Sexology Ph.D. program at Modern Sex Therapy Institutes, where her doctoral project is focused on sex therapy and ADHD. Additionally, she teaches Human Sexuality as an adjunct professor and assists with marketing and graphic design for Calm Pittsburgh.
